Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Greetings fans of all things recruiting, to this edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. Here we deliver scout reports on two of the top recruits. Here we go!

Daniel Carmichael - FB:
Daniel Carmichael is an interesting FB, out of CA specifically, LYNBROOK HIGH. Carmichael is ranked as a 5 star player, and 13 overall. He weighs in at 205 pounds, is 6' 1" tall, at the age of 19.

Loyal to the bone. You give him a chance and he will never abandon you.

An enticing prospect coming out of high school, Daniel Carmichael has his suiters. His high schoool released a list containing Oklahoma Sooners that have contacted them regarding him.

The Sooners are expected to be the leading contender for his signature. But that is part of the intrigue, we just do not know yet.

This is a kid who will shoulder any blame. In the run game he blocks well, shows tenacity and opens lanes. This will benefit the team. Displays nice technique when blocking on pass plays. Keeps his balance and buys time for the quarterback. Will not have a hard time digesting a college blocking scheme.

According to multiple sources, teams that have contacted Parish include: Florida State Seminoles, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners.

I am told that Parish unofficially told one of his former coaches, that he is leaning toward committing to Florida Gators.

Justin Little - T:
Justin Little is a blooming T, coming out of ROSWELL HIGH SCHOOL, GA. Little is ranked as a 5 star player, and 6 overall. Little is 18 years old, weighs 288 pounds and is 6' 3" tall.

Known for showing up early and staying late. Teammates love him. All he cares about is the team. He helps everyone succeed. He is driven by his love of the sport. Something that scouts highlight is how well he pass blocks. He would not be ranked this high if he could not protect the QB. Plays with intelligence.

As one of the better T coming out of high school this year, it is no surprise that Justin Little has is being courted by several programs. Local news report that at least these teams have shown interest in bringing him into their program: Florida State Seminoles, Duke Blue Devils, Purdue Boilermakers, Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators.

Little seems to be a slam dunk to commit to the Seminoles. Recently, he hinted in an interview that a decision might come soon.

Loyd Frias - QB:
Loyd Frias is a young QB, from SOUTHWEST H S, TX. Frias is a 5 star recruit, and his overall ranking is 7. Frias is 6' 1" tall, weighs 195 pounds and is 19 years old.

Teammates gravitate toward him, they follow his lead. Coaches love that about him. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. He never gives up on his coaches and teammates. He keeps fighting for them even when others give up. He has good field vision. Will make the tight throws. Delivers with zip.

His high school confirmed that Houston Cougars, have been in contact with his coaches, asking about him.

It is hard to decipher where Frias will end up. He has provided very few clues that warrant more than mere speculation and wishful thinking.

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Welcome followers of recruiting news. I am glad to be here with another edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. As always, in these early season installments of Recruiting Watch, we assess two of the top players in the recruiting class. Without further ado, let us look at the report cards.

Eduardo Aranda - FS:
Eduardo Aranda is a FS, from BLUE SPRINGS SOUTH HIGH, MO. Aranda is ranked as a 5 star player, and 4 overall. Aranda is 6' 1" tall, weighs 190 pounds and is 18 years old.

Raised to know the value of hard work. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Pretty good tackling fundamentals. That is something coaches love. Takes in instructions well.

Wisconsin Badgers, Purdue Boilermakers are rumored to be chasing the promising FS.

The Boilermakers should be a good bet to get him. But the thing about bets is: they are just bets. There is only one person who currently knows where he is going, and he has not announced any decision yet.

Mike Miller - WR:
Mike Miller is an interesting WR, out of PA specifically, BLUE MOUNTAIN HS. Miller is a 5 star player, and his overall ranking is 2. Miller is 19 years old, weighs 190 pounds and is 6' 1" tall.

This kid is not afraid to work hard. Coaches love his ability to catch the ball. Soon everyone will know why. Pretty good straight line speed. Can run the deeper routes in the pros. Cuts with quickness, and will become a great route runner.

His high school confirmed that Duke Blue Devils, Penn Quakers, have been in contact with his coaches, asking about him.

Mike Miller confirmed that Penn Quakers are probably the leading contender for him. He made sure to add that no decision has been made.

Indiana Hoosiers Catch the Houston Cougars by surprise!

The Indiana Hoosiers surprises everyone with an unlikely road win against Houston Cougars.
The Cougars never manage to take control of the game, while the Hoosiers kept grinding and drove the victory home. The Cougars players had expected an easy victory, and this will be a bitter loss and a tough blow to the self-respect of the program. Meanwhile the Hoosiers fans are ecstatic and are already entertaining thoughts about a cinderella future.

Southeastern Recruiting News: Alabama Crimson Tide to bring in tons of talent.

Having this amount of scholarships is a blessing but also poses a risk. Given the competition in Southeastern, the Crimson Tide cannot afford to draw many blanks, and the question is if they will be able to get a quality player for every open scholarship. For the record, the team in the Southeastern with the least scholarships to offer this season is Florida Gators with 12 open slots.

It's all about Weston.

A person familiar with the Golden Bears says that Ken Weston - TE is making weird demands again. Weston is known inside the facility to be a bit of a diva. Teammates are getting tired of him demanding more from them than he does of himself.
