Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis: Frederick Post - DT

Greetings my fellow football diehards, I bring you to more in detail analysis in this edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. In this edition, the analysis will concern Frederick Post, an intriguing DT, who played high school football at SOUTHERN LEHIGH SHS, PA. Post is a 4 star recruit, ranked 109. Post is 19 years old, weighs 301 pounds and is 6' 2" tall. Alright, let us get to what the scouts say!

He helps everyone get in the right position, making the team run as a well oiled machine. He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. This is not the kind of player who gives up or abandons his friends when things get tough. Dominated using his strength in high school. In college he will face bigger opponents, but he should be up for the challenge.

The list of teams that have been in contact with Frederick Post is long. According to people close to Post, all of these teams have reached out to him: Penn State Nittany Lions, Penn Quakers, Michigan Wolverines, Louisville Cardinals, Florida Gators, Tennessee Volunteers, Pittsburgh Panthers, Memphis Tigers, Virginia Tech Hokies, Toledo Rockets, Marshall Thundering Herd.

The consensus is that Post will probably commit to the Florida Gators. It will be interesting to see if this prediction holds true.

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis: Adam Pino - T

Hey recruiting nerds. I am happy to deliver another round of analysis in this edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. For this installment, we look closer at Adam Pino, T, out of PA specifically, CHICHESTER SHS. His ranking of 21 nationally, makes him a 5 star recruit. He is 6' 3" tall, weighs 298 pounds and is 19 years old. OK, let us get down to business!

Incredibly strength and physique. This kid is already a pretty good blocker in the running game. He will only get better as he refines his technique. Good pass blockers are hard to find right out of high school, and this guy is pretty good.

The teams interested in Adam Pino include Michigan Wolverines, Purdue Boilermakers, Bowling Green Falcons, Clemson Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Colorado State Rams, Utah State Aggies, Navy Midshipmen, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Arkansas Razorbacks, Oregon State Beavers, LSU Tigers. Adam Pino admitted that it was a bit overwhelming, with teams tripping over each other to set up meetings with him.

My sources indicate that Bowling Green Falcons are his current favorite destination. But much can change before any signature is delivered.

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Hello football addicts, to more in detail analysis in this installment of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. As usual, in these early season editions of Recruiting Watch, you get reports on two of the highly ranked recruits. Without further ado, the scout reports:

Michael Wilhelm - QB:
Michael Wilhelm is a young QB, graduating from ADRIAN WILCOX HIGH, CA. Wilhelm is a 5 star player, ranked 7. Wilhelm is 6' 0" tall, weighs 188 pounds and is 18 years old.

As smart as they get. Nice arm, will be even better in a couple of seasons.

Lamar Francis is an intriguing RB, out of ACE ACADEMY (SDA) - CALUMET CENTER, MI. His ranking of 10 nationally, makes Francis a 5 star recruit. Francis is 19 years old, weighs 196 pounds and is 6' 0" tall.

This is a kid who will shoulder any blame. Good change of direction ability. This guy can run with the fastest guys at the college level. In high school, you would see him with two defenders on his back, and he would just keep going dragging them along.

Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis

Hey football diehards. I am glad to be here with another edition of Recruiting Watch With Darren Francis. In this edition, we look at two of the top recruits. Here is our analyses:

Paul Bennett - T:
Paul Bennett is a talented T, who played high school football at WOBURN HIGH, MA. Bennett is a 5 star player, and his overall ranking is 5. He is 6' 4" tall, weighs 298 pounds and is 19 years old.

Here is a kid who no one doubts will put in the work. Respected for his good behavior on the field. In highschool, he routinely threw defenders off their feet when blocking them. Watch the tape, this kind is strong. In the run game he blocks well, shows tenacity and opens lanes. This will benefit the team. He can hold his own in the passing game. Will improve once he finetunes his technique, but he is already pretty good.

As one of the better T coming out of high school this year, it is no surprise that Paul Bennett has is being courted by several programs. Local news report that at least these teams have shown interest in bringing him into their program: BYU Cougars, Colorado State Rams, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Northwestern Wildcats, Utah State Aggies, Purdue Boilermakers, Clemson Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, Utah Utes, Colorado Buffaloes, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Virginia Cavaliers, Washington Huskies, Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

The Purdue Boilermakers are expected to be the leading contender for his signature. But that is part of the intrigue, we just do not know yet.

Richie Maldonado - T:
Richie Maldonado is a T, who played high school football at HUMBLE H S, TX. His ranking of 2 nationally, makes him a 5 star recruit. He weighs in at 294 pounds, is 6' 5" tall, at the age of 18.

Did you see him bench press?! Wow! Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. His pass blocking skills is something teams like about him.

Richie Maldonado has a received a lot of attention from recruiters. BYU Cougars, Colorado State Rams, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Northwestern Wildcats, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Utah State Aggies, Purdue Boilermakers, Clemson Tigers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, South Carolina Gamecocks, Rice Owls, Ohio State Buckeyes, Colorado Buffaloes, Ole Miss Rebels, TCU Horned Frogs, Texas Longhorns have all been in contact with Maldonado.

I am told that Maldonado unofficially told one of his former coaches, that he is leaning toward committing to Purdue Boilermakers.
